In Green Bay, Wisconsin, Bay Oral Surgery & Implant Center has announced a privacy incident that occurred on January 18th of this year. An unauthorized person gained access to an employee’s email account and viewed protected health information. The specific information accessed by the unauthorized person remains unclear.
In response to this breach, Bay Oral has taken several measures to enhance security measures. They have changed IT companies, increased protections against hackers and unauthorized access, and implemented new policies and procedures to ensure patient health information is not stored in emails.
