Dignity Health and Aetna come to a new contract agreement

After failed negotiations, Dignity Health facilities and providers were initially dropped from Aetna’s health insurance network in early April. However, the two companies have now successfully negotiated a new contract that allows Aetna members to continue receiving in-network access to Dignity’s services, facilities, and providers in California, Arizona, and Nevada.

The new multi-year contract, which went into effect on April 1, ensures that any Aetna members who have received services from Dignity since that date will be covered. Both Dignity Health and Aetna expressed their commitment to providing quality, convenient, and affordable care to members. The president of Dignity Health stated that the agreement is a win for patients who deserve access to high-quality care.

Aetna’s vice president and chief network officer for the Western and South Central region emphasized their dedication to meeting the healthcare needs of their members through their network of providers. Aetna members who have any questions about their coverage are advised to reach out to the number listed on their insurance card for assistance.
