Friday afternoon, Mia Coots struck out 13 batters in a one-hit performance leading the Nokomis softball team to a 10-0 victory over Winslow. Her younger sister, a freshman, was behind the plate catching for her. The sisters have been eagerly anticipating this season and are thoroughly enjoying every moment of it.
Both sisters joined the sport because they wanted to have fun and are now excelling on the field. It is a joyous time for them as they play together on the same team, supporting each other and working towards victory. Their bond is unbreakable and their love for the game only strengthens with every pass, hit or run.
