Downtown Summerlin is celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month with special displays that emphasize the importance of mental health. One of the exhibits features Tony Tasset’s ‘Mood Sculpture,’ which encourages people to accept a range of emotions as part of their mental well-being.
Halee Harczynski, senior director of marketing for Downtown Summerlin, explained why it’s crucial to address mental health for all ages. She highlighted the significance of unveiling the latest sculpture, which portrays different moods, in starting conversations about mental health.
The sculpture is located inside the butterfly garden under The Pavilion at the property. Visitors can explore the diverse range of moods depicted by the sculpture while enjoying various self-care practices such as staying active, seeking therapy or taking part in activities like shopping at the weekly farmer’s market.
Downtown Summerlin aims to raise awareness about mental health and promote self-care during Mental Health Awareness Month. By providing a space for reflection and discussion, they hope to inspire individuals to prioritize their mental well-being.
