The “Goal for Life” programme was developed as a result of a strategic partnership between the Ministry of Youth in Jordan and the International Labour Organization (ILO). With the support of Mudarrib, a social enterprise known for its expertise in sports consultancy, this initiative aimed to empower women by creating decent job opportunities and reducing unemployment rates.
Mudarrib, registered with the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), collaborated with the ILO to focus on equipping participants with the necessary skills for employment in gyms, educational institutions, and other sports facilities. By effectively using media platforms, this programme aimed to challenge and break misconceptions and stereotypes about women’s abilities in these traditionally male-dominated fields.
Through this initiative, women were given the tools and support needed to succeed in the sports industry and contribute to their own empowerment and economic independence. This collaboration between the Ministry of Youth, the ILO, and Mudarrib demonstrates a commitment to promoting gender equality and creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce in Jordan’s sports sector.
The Goal for Life programme is helping to drive positive social change by providing women with access to job opportunities in the sports industry. It is also contributing to empowerment by equipping them with essential skills that will enable them to succeed in their chosen field.
