A new exhibit in Chicago is focusing on mental health and providing visitors with a deep exploration of their emotions. Located at Chicago’s Water Tower, the exhibit is designed to provoke introspection and leave attendees transformed by their experience. The creator of the exhibit, Janine Williams, drew inspiration from her personal mental health journey to create the 5,000-square-foot interactive art installation on the fourth floor of Water Tower Place.
Upon entering the exhibit, guests are greeted with a disco ball dreamland featuring a 360-degree photo booth, setting the tone for the emotional journey they are about to embark on. Carefully curated colors throughout the space aim to influence and amplify emotional experiences.
The interactive Mood Room is at the heart of the exhibit, where visitors are guided through exercises meant to prompt reflection and emotional processing. Visitors can also discover a Secret Garden and Kites Ice Diner showcasing the works of artist Kristopher Kites from Chicago’s South Side.
