In Washington, D.C., the American Hospital Association (AHA) held its Annual Membership Meeting and recognized two federal hospital leaders with 2023 awards for their exceptional service in the health care field. Col. Craig Keyes, the chief of staff and deputy director at Defense Health Network – National Capital Region in Bethesda, Md., was honored with the Award for Excellence. Maj. Kimberly Forsythe, mental health officer in charge at 66th MDS Hanscom Clinic in Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, received the Special Achievement Award.
During the presentation, AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack commended the recipients, stating, “Federal health systems play a vital role in advancing patient care in both the federal and private sectors.
