The Italian video game industry association, IIDEA, has announced the launch of First Playable Coaching 2024, a program designed to support emerging Italian development studios. The program includes a series of free individual coaching sessions set to take place from 22 April to 7 June 2024. These sessions are meant to prepare participants for First Playable, an important business event scheduled in Florence from 3 to 5 July.
First Playable Coaching 2024 is organized by IIDEA and the Toscana Film Commission with support from the Fondazione Sistema Toscana, the ICE Agency, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The initiative aims to foster opportunities in the gaming sector with the backing of prestigious partners.
During the coaching program, 15 industry expert mentors will offer their expertise to help participants prepare and present their pitches effectively. They will also guide developers in selecting publishers best suited to their projects and provide strategic advice to enhance their chances of success during the event.
Among the professionals involved in the coaching program are esteemed figures such as Valerio Di Donato, CEO of 34BigThings, and Elisa Farinetti, Business Developer of Broken Arms Games, as well as Yves Hohler, CEO & Co-Founder of Broken Arms Games. These mentors will share their vast experience in the video game sector to help aspiring developers succeed at First Playable.
