Saluki Startup, Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s welcome festival for new and returning students held every August, is set to host a special event called Taste of Carbondale. This event is scheduled for August 14 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Student Services Building pavilion on the SIU campus.
The focus of Taste of Carbondale is on food and beverage businesses, but all local businesses are welcome to become sponsors. Sponsorship packages start at $500 and will help cover the costs of providing food samples. Sponsors will also have their company logos featured on the Taste of Carbondale website and may have additional promotional opportunities.

Taste of Carbondale is an extension of orientation and engagement opportunities for new Salukis, allowing them to get better acquainted with the campus, make new friends, and experience more of SIU before classes begin. By becoming a sponsor, local businesses can engage with attendees at the event and promote their brand while supporting a great cause that benefits both the university and the community as a whole.
