According to Truss, the world was a safer place when Trump was in office due to his more aggressive stance towards Iran and China. She also commended Trump’s support for Ukraine.
When asked if she would like to see Trump back in the White House, Truss replied with a definitive “it has to be.” She praised Trump for being effective in preventing aggressive regimes from expanding, hinting that his reelection could have had a positive impact. However, Trump is currently facing legal troubles as the first US ex-president to be criminally prosecuted on charges related to falsifying business records.
Trump is also facing three other criminal cases related to hoarding top-secret documents after leaving office and attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election. He was impeached twice during his presidency, which further complicates his political future. On the other hand, President Joe Biden has been met with obstacles in returning to the White House, with some voters expressing concerns over his age and ability to serve another term.
