Businesses cite high rent as the primary reason for leaving Reno Public Market

Sarah Reynosa, owner of Fuego Street Tacos at Reno Public Market, has expressed her disappointment with the high rent that drove her business out of the property. Despite raising her concerns with management, she was told that she was mismanaging her business. However, Reynosa insists that this is not true and that the high rent made it impossible to sustain her business.

Reno Public Market released a statement acknowledging turnover in merchants as a normal part of the business cycle. The statement also highlighted the importance of evolving customer preferences and the commitment of RPM to offer new experiences and options to meet these changing needs. Despite this, Reynosa stated that she and her team worked tirelessly to reduce costs, even cutting staff and seeking lower prices for food, but ultimately could not afford the rent.

The Food Hall at Reno Public Market opened its doors last year, and while RPM did not comment on individual businesses publicly out of respect for their partners, they expressed appreciation for all businesses that have joined them in making Reno Public Market a popular destination for dining, shopping, and entertainment.
