Dallas Residents Cheer as Scottie Scheffler Returns Home with Green Jacket in Tow
On Sunday, golf fans from all over the world watched as Highland Park golfer Scottie Scheffler made history at the Masters Tournament. For the second time in three years, he took home the green jacket. After his victory, he returned home to Texas and paid a visit to Inwood Tavern, a popular spot that serves as a pool hall, sports bar, and patio hangout all in one.
The Love Field-area establishment has been serving patrons for 60 years, making it one of the oldest bars in North Texas. Many Dallas residents tuned in eagerly to watch the Masters Tournament, wondering if Scheffler would be able to complete the event. Fortunately, he was able to do just that and return home to celebrate his victory.
Inwood Tavern is known for its laid-back atmosphere where even celebrities like Scheffler and actor Owen Wilson can blend in without much fanfare. The bar’s manager, Sam Graves, mentioned that they strive to create an environment where famous visitors can relax and enjoy themselves inconspicuously. Despite the excitement surrounding Scheffler’s visit on Monday, Graves noted that things appeared to be business as usual at the tavern.
The Inwood Tavern is located at 7717 Inwood Road in Dallas and continues to be a popular spot for locals and visitors alike to relax and unwind after a long day of watching golf or cheering on their favorite athletes.
