Israeli army re-enters Khan Yunis, resulting in recovery of 200 bodies from Nasser Hospital

On Monday, Israeli forces conducted a surprise raid to the east of Khan Yunis, forcing residents to flee once again as more than 200 bodies were recovered from mass graves in the courtyard of the Nasser Medical Complex, the main hospital in the city. In Rafah, Israel launched new air strikes, targeting the last refuge for many of the Strip’s residents who have sought shelter there.

Rescue workers at the Nasser Hospital site have been recovering bodies from the rubble, with more than 200 bodies found so far. The death toll in the war between Israel and Gaza exceeds 34,000 Palestinians with thousands still missing. Families who had returned to their homes in Khan Yunis were forced to flee again as tanks entered the area under heavy gunfire. Ahmed Rizq, who took refuge in a school in western Khan Yunis, reported that families were forced to flee once again as tanks entered their neighborhoods under heavy gunfire.

Israeli forces claim Hamas fighters were operating from hospitals, leading to the fighting in these facilities. Gaza officials accuse Israel of carrying out executions at the hospital and attempting to cover up their crimes by burying bodies with bulldozers. Relatives are coming to claim their loved ones for reburial, finding solace in laying them to rest. The continued violence and destruction in Gaza have left families devastated and seeking closure for their lost loved ones.

The additional airstrikes in Rafah targeted other areas as well including a newborn who was delivered via caesarean section after her mother was killed in an airstrike while she was on her way to give birth at a hospital. The ongoing violence and destruction in Gaza have caused immense pain and suffering for its people who are seeking peace and stability for themselves and their families.
