The Packers add OT Andre Dillard to their roster

The Green Bay Packers have signed free agent Andre Dillard to a contract, as announced by the team. With many questions surrounding their offensive line, particularly with left tackle David Bakhtiari becoming a free agent after his release, the Packers have a need to address this position. Currently, they have Rasheed Walker, Kadeem Teifort, Zach Tom, Luke Tenuta, and Caleb Jones at tackle on their roster, indicating that Dillard will likely compete for the left tackle job.

In addition to signing Dillard, the Packers may also look to draft multiple linemen next week to further strengthen their offensive line. Andre Dillard is a 28-year-old veteran with experience playing both left and right tackle throughout his career. He has played 59 games and started 19 of them, with his most starts in a single season coming in 2023 when he played 10 games at left tackle for the Titans. Last season, he played a career-high 562 offensive snaps and showcased his potential as a valuable asset for the Packers.

The Tennessee Titans released him on March 15th following four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles after being drafted 22nd overall in 2019. With David Bakhtiari’s future uncertain and other question marks along their offensive line, the Packers are taking proactive measures to solidify their front five.
