Hamas spokesperson: “After a two-day wait for the Israeli delegation, we left Cairo”

In an interview with Saudi TV channel Al-Sharak, a member of the Hamas delegation at the negotiations in Cairo blamed Benjamin Netanyahu for the lack of progress in talks with Israel. The representative stated that Hamas is prepared to return to the negotiating table if a second party appears, and they did not withdraw from the discussions or reject the Egyptian mediators.

The member emphasized that they waited for the Israeli delegation for two days in Cairo but did not show up. They expressed that Hamas is interested in reaching an agreement and is willing to continue negotiations. The Hamas representative mentioned that they have proposed their own ideas on certain points of the agreement and are awaiting a clear response from the Israeli side.

The member also commented that Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements have increased suspicions that his true intentions are to continue the war. However, there is still a possibility of reaching an agreement if both parties are serious about finding a peaceful resolution.
