Nearly 30 Erie-area employers participate in health-care job fair hosted by LECOM

Vice President Kamala Harris recently announced new regulations for federally funded nursing homes aimed at improving the quality of care provided. These rules will have an impact on nursing facilities and home health care companies. Meanwhile, representatives from Erie’s three largest health systems are preparing to participate in a healthcare job fair on Monday, showcasing various careers in the field. The Healthcare Career Expo will take place at the Bayfront Convention Center from 2-7 p.m., and is organized by the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. UPMC Hamot and Saint Vincent Hospital, along with around 30 other local healthcare employers, will be featured at the event.

The job fair will feature discussions on available healthcare positions in Erie, including opportunities for licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, therapists, dietitians, radiology technicians, counselors, and social workers. In addition to information about healthcare jobs, attendees will have the chance to speak with professionals about finance, real estate, and insurance. The job fair is free to attend and will offer refreshments and raffles for participants.
