The Helsinki Stock Exchange ended the trading day with a slight decline of 0.5 percent, bringing the general index to 9925.34 points. The most actively traded stock was Nordea bank, whose share price dropped by 2.5 percent to 10.98 euros. Most of the other highly traded shares saw a downward trend.
On the positive side, multi-sector company Dovre Group experienced a significant increase in its share price of 7.4 percent, reaching 0.33 euros per share. Meanwhile, investment company Reka Industrial announced a substantial decrease of 29.3 percent in its share price, reaching 6.38 euros per share and also declared a giant dividend payment of 2 euros paid out to its investors.
Several other companies such as Elecster, Tokmanni and Viking Line also declared dividends for their respective investors. Metsä Board made an announcement regarding its plans to invest in the renovation of Simpele’s folding carton machine at an estimated cost of approximately EUR 60 million spread over the years 2024–2026.
Spinnova concluded its change negotiations resulting in the dismissal of eight positions aimed at supporting the efficient implementation of the company’s updated strategy and reducing fixed costs. Real estate investment company Avaro acquired a shopping center property in Jyväskylä for seven million euros and Outokumpu finalized negotiations for restructuring its German operations impacting 200 employees
