The Italian government is currently working to prevent the Russian company Ariston from falling under Moscow’s control. Meanwhile, Italian Minister of Business Adolfo Urso has engaged with Ariston Group leadership to address the situation and work towards protecting Italian and European companies affected by similar Russian actions. The Italian government is exploring new instruments within the European sanctioning framework to prevent such retaliatory measures in the future.
Italy’s efforts come amid growing tensions between Europe and Russia over issues ranging from Ukraine to cybersecurity threats. As a result, some experts predict that this could lead to further economic sanctions against Russia or even military action if necessary.
