Jimmies softball divides doubleheader against Morningside

The University of Jamestown softball team faced Morningside University on Saturday, April 27 at the Mustangs’ Jensen Softball Complex. The Jimmies started the game strong, with Abby Blair scoring the first run by singling home Trinity Gregg in the first inning. They added another run to take a 2-0 lead before Morningside scored in the third to make it 2-1.

In the second game of the doubleheader, the Jimmies took a commanding lead in the second inning, scoring three runs on five hits. Morningside fought back with three runs of their own in the third, tying the game at 3-3. Both teams scored in the fourth inning, with the Jimmies briefly taking a 4-3 lead before Morningside came back to score three more runs. Despite their efforts to close the gap, Morningside secured a hard-fought 10-6 victory over Jamestown.
