The Kentucky Chamber has published a summary of the 2024 General Assembly and its impact on businesses. The publication, titled Results for Business, includes detailed information about bills, priority legislation that was passed, a legislative voting record, and more.
During this year’s session, several key highlights were achieved. The Chamber’s advocacy efforts led to $1.006 billion in savings for Kentucky employers, resulting in a savings of $589 per employee in the state. Additionally, lawmakers made significant investments in the Commonwealth’s future through the biennial budget, funding priorities such as child care, education, economic development, infrastructure, and more.
The Chamber successfully advocated for various priorities during the session as well. These included the enactment of voluntary paid leave insurance, the removal of barriers to opening new child care centers, the establishment of a data privacy framework
