Larian Studios confirms two new projects in lieu of “Baldur’s Gate 4”

Larian Studios has announced that they will not be working on a sequel to “Baldur’s Gate 3.” Instead, they are focusing on two new projects that are independent of the “Baldur’s Gate” saga. The team behind “Baldur’s Gate 3” is currently working on their next update, Patch 7, which will address bugs, improve evil endings, and introduce new modification tools to give players more control over the game. They are also looking to add cross-play and a photo mode in the future.

Since its release in August of last year, “Baldur’s Gate 3” has received recognition in several prestigious awards including the Golden Joysticks, Game Developers Choice, DICE, and The Game Awards, as well as BAFTA Games Awards, Hugo Awards, and GLAAD Media Awards. This game has been a hit for Larian Studios and has paved the way for their future endeavors. The studio expressed excitement about the development of their new projects which are inspired by Dungeons and Dragons.

The game offers an open world for players to explore freely and adapts the lore of the popular role-playing game into a story where player decisions affect the characters and outcomes. Larian Studios confirmed that there will be no “Baldur’s Gate 4,” but instead they are focusing on creating two unique projects independently of the series.
