Expansion of Licking Memorial Health Systems with a New Clinic

Licking Memorial Health Systems is expanding its presence in Ohio as a result of Intel’s growing presence in the state. This expansion, including the addition of a school-based clinic in Pataskala, is expected to meet the needs of the growing population in Licking County. The clinic, located inside Licking Heights High School, is the first clinic run by Licking Memorial within a school.

Kristine Plotts, one of the nurses at the clinic, highlighted the unique opportunity to care for students, staff, families, and community members all in one place. The convenience of receiving healthcare on-site allows students to minimize time away from their classes and ultimately improves their academic success rates.

Licking Memorial CEO and President Rob Montagnese emphasized the importance of expanding their health systems to accommodate the increased population brought by Intel. Plans are already in place to enhance services in Southwest Licking County and Northwest Licking County. Additional services and hours are being added to the Pataskala location, while future plans include developing services on 20-plus acres in Johnstown.

At the clinic, Plotts expressed her enthusiasm for helping students achieve optimal health and success both in school and beyond. Licking Memorial continues to work on planning additional expansions to meet the needs of the growing community.
