Gonzaga’s Anton Watson agrees to representation with Young Money APAA Sports, the agency established by rap artist Lil Wayne

Young Money APAA Sports has recently signed Gonzaga Bulldogs forward Anton Watson, as he prepares for the 2024 NBA Draft. This sports agency, founded by rapper Lil Wayne, represents athletes in both the NFL and NBA. Among their roster are players such as Jalen Hurts, Mecole Hardman, and Issac Okoro.

Watson had previously worked with Seven1 Sports & Entertainment, founded by Tracy McGrady and Jermaine O’Neal, as well as his former teammate Drew Timme. Together, they secured various NIL deals in Spokane for Watson, including commercials for local businesses.

During his final season as a fifth-year senior, Watson had an impressive performance, leading to his selection to the All-WCC first team. He averaged 14.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game while also excelling defensively with 1.5 steals per game. Despite his skills and versatility on the court, Watson is not expected to be a high draft pick in 2024.

However, he still has opportunities to pursue a career in the NBA through signing as an undrafted free agent or securing a two-way contract or earning an invitation to the NBA Summer League with determination and potential ahead of him in professional basketball.
