Deputies on the lookout for 71-year-old with health issues who went missing

A search is currently underway by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for a missing 71-year-old man named Billy Kearse in Gaffney, South Carolina. Last seen on Tuesday morning, Kearse was wearing a green shirt and blue pants while walking along Ann’s Trail near Scruggs Trail with his small Chihuahua dog. He had planned to go fishing when he disappeared.

Kearse has some health concerns that require a tracheotomy and a voice box amplifier. He is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with shoulder-length gray hair. On his left upper arm, he has a tattoo that reads “Jennie.”

The authorities are urging anyone with information about Kearse’s whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or the Cherokee 911 Center at 864-487-2747 as soon as possible. The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is eager to locate him. Copyright 2024 WHNS. All rights reserved.
