Small Business Buzz Being Generated by New Auburn Meadery

Elaina Ferrier, a mother of two and an entrepreneur, started Comb Grown Mead in the summer of 2023 in Auburn. She opened the doors of her meadery that produces alcoholic beverages made from fermenting honey diluted with water. Elaina acknowledges the challenges of balancing motherhood with entrepreneurship, but she finds joy in being part of the local community and networking with other small business owners.

Elaina Ferrier’s dream became a reality when she found the perfect space and a landlord to partner with to open Comb Grown Mead. Despite the complexities of juggling family life and business ownership, Elaina finds fulfillment in supporting fellow female entrepreneurs who manage their businesses while taking care of their families.

Being a business owner has allowed Elaina to become a valuable contributor to her community. She is proud to be part of a network of small business owners who support one another in their entrepreneurial endeavors during National Small Business Week.
