Health Department Reveals Significant Rise in Mpox Cases

Since October, the New York City Health Department has reported a significant increase in cases of the ‘Mpox’ virus. They are also warning about a more severe strain of the illness that has emerged in the Congo and could potentially spread to New York City. The department has noted that 94 percent of local patients affected by Mpox are gay and bisexual men, although the number of cases still remains lower than it was at its peak almost two years ago.

In other news, an investigation by Kristin Thorne on 7 On Your Side revealed an imposter posing as a Queens man for doctor’s visits in a fraudulent construction fall claim.
