Dale Earnhardt Jr. is set to make a comeback to the broadcast booth next year, as TNT Sports and Amazon Prime confirmed on Tuesday that he will be joining their teams for the 2025 NASCAR season. Earnhardt expressed his excitement about the move, stating his nostalgia for TNT’s coverage of NASCAR and looking forward to working with them again, as well as creating content for fans with Bleacher Report.
NASCAR signed a new media rights deal in November, with TNT and Amazon Prime joining Fox Sports and NBC Sports in a comprehensive seven-year package worth $7.7 billion from 2025 to 2031. Amazon Prime will exclusively stream NASCAR events for the first time, while Fox and NBC will continue to broadcast 14 races each season. TNT, which last had broadcast rights in 2014, will air five events, though specific race assignments have not been announced.
Earnhardt, who retired from full-time competition in 2017, has continued to race occasionally in the Xfinity circuit and will provide analysis, commentary, and digital content for TNT and Amazon Prime in collaboration with Bleacher Report and Dirty Mo Media. This marks an exciting new chapter in his post-racing career as he continues to be an influential figure in the world of NASCAR.
