The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) has appointed Greg Meredith as the new administrator at the Veterans’ Home of Wyoming (VHW) in Buffalo. The facility provides domiciliary care, similar to assisted living care, and skilled nursing care to Wyoming veterans. With deep experience in patient care, behavioral analysis, and leadership, Meredith brings a fresh perspective to the facility’s operations. WDH Director Stefan Johansson expressed excitement for Meredith’s appointment and thanked Jeff Clark for filling in as interim administrator after the retirement of the former administrator.
Meanwhile, in Lander, the Wyoming Life Resource Center (WLRC) is also undergoing changes with the appointment of James West as interim administrator following the resignation of Jeremy Forbis. West, who is also the administrator of the WLRC intermediate care facility, has stepped into the interim role as the facility searches for a permanent administrator. Matt Petry, Behavioral Health Division senior administrator with WDH, expressed confidence in West’s leadership and dedication of staff in Lander to provide exemplary care to residents. WLRC provides high-level intermediate and long-term care and services to individuals in Wyoming with high medical needs or difficult behaviors. It plays a crucial role in serving healthcare needs of community members and is dedicated to providing quality care to their residents. With new leadership in place at both facilities, they are well-positioned to continue their important work in the healthcare sector.
