In less than six weeks, Chris and Allison Short will celebrate the start of their second summer season as the new owners of White Pine Lodge. The lodge was purchased in the fall of 2022 from previous owners Andy and Ida DeLisi, and since then, the Shorts have been having a great time running the lodge together.
Over the past year, Chris and Allison have put their own stamp on the lodge by adding draft beer, homemade pizzas, hosting community events, and opening a new campground on the property. The campground features four campsites with picnic tables and fire pits, and it is open year-round. The addition of the campground has been a positive asset for the business and has generated excitement in the community.
Chris Short mentioned that he is eager to see what this summer has in store for them and is excited for the opportunity to share his passion for the lodge with others. Recently, Chris and Allison spoke with WTIP’s Kalli Hawkins for the Local Business Spotlight, where they discussed their love for the business, shared some of their homemade pizza recipes, and talked about their plans for the upcoming summer season.
With summer just around the corner, Chris and Allison are looking forward to welcoming back returning guests and meeting new faces at White Pine Lodge. They are eager to continue providing great service to their guests while also making memories that will last a lifetime.
