Long-term Lease Secured by Tahoe Forest Health System for Former Rite Aid Space

Tahoe Forest Health System has recently secured a long-term lease for the space formerly occupied by Rite Aid Truckee in the Gateway Center. The 21,000 square foot building, located at 11230 Donner Pass Road, has been vacant since Rite Aid closed its doors in December 2023. In an effort to make healthcare more convenient for the community, the Health System sees this new space as an opportunity to expand their services.

In an interview with Harry Weis, President and CEO of Tahoe Forest Health System, he expressed excitement about the possibilities that this new space presents. He mentioned that the building will provide greater flexibility in offering a wider range of services to the public. Additionally, the central location, easy parking, and accessibility of the building are considered as added benefits.

While no specific plans for the space have been announced yet, the Health System is actively working to determine the services that would be most beneficial for the community at this location. This strategic move aligns with their goal of making healthcare more accessible and convenient for residents in the Truckee area. Stay tuned for updates on what services will be offered at the new location in the future.
