Last week, several high school sports teams stood out and made a mark in their respective leagues and tournaments. The Demarest softball team went 3-1, including a notable 7-3 win over Hawthorne, while Fair Lawn softball upset the third-seeded team in the Bergen County Tournament. Additionally, Leonia girls track & field secured their first league title since 1991, and Mahwah girls lacrosse pulled off impressive wins, including an upset over Ramapo.
Pascack Hills baseball had a great week with a 5-0 record, while St. Mary baseball dominated their opponents, outscoring them 20-1. West Milford boys track & field and Westwood boys lacrosse also had successful weeks, both winning important league titles.
