In the 2023 season, the Cubs had an overall record of 83-79, with a road record of 38-43. Their pitching staff had a collective ERA of 4.09 and averaged 8.6 strikeouts per nine innings.
On the other hand, the Texas Rangers had an overall record of 90-72 last season, with a home record of 50-31. Their pitching staff averaged 8.5 strikeouts per nine innings and gave up an average of 4.4 runs per game in the same season.
When it comes to injuries, the Rangers have Jacob deGrom on the 60-Day IL for elbow issues and Carson Coleman on the same list for elbow problems. The Cubs do not have any players listed on their injury report as of now.
