The DEIB Excellence Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to DEIB causes within Pamplin. In 2024, the latest recipient of the Diversity Excellence Award was Management student Meena Zaheen, with an honorable mention going to Andrea Amihere from the Management program.
The Deans Advisory Board of Students (DABS) is a group of 20-25 students selected to work with Dean Saonee Sarker to advise and represent the business school. The goal of DABS is to create a more inclusive environment within Pamplin so that all students can thrive. In 2024, the President Recognition was awarded to Hudson Aikins from Management and Mariam Farzayee from Accounting and Information Systems.
In addition to these honors, Virginia Tech recognized nine first honors graduates in 2024 for achieving a 4.0 GPA: Rahul Bhatt in Management, Jonathan Braun in Finance and Real Estate, Anne Deegan in BIT and Management, Charli Dietz in ACIS, Alexandra Evan in BIT and Management, Rhea Nair in Management, Logan Rawlings in Finance, Dylan Recardo in Finance, and Samiksha Sarda in Management.
