Alex Nedeljkovic, a 28-year-old goaltender from Parma, Ohio, has been selected to represent Team USA at the upcoming 2024 IIHF World Championship. The tournament will take place from May 10th to 26th in Prague and Ostrava, Czechia. This will be his first time participating in the World Championship, and he is eager to showcase his skills on an international stage.
Nedeljkovic joined the Pittsburgh team this season through free agency on July 1st, 2023. During his time with the team, he played in 38 games, including 33 starts. In those games, he recorded a record of 18-7-7 with a goals-against average of 2.97 and a save percentage of .902. One of his standout performances came towards the end of the season when he had a ten-game point streak. During that timeframe, he went undefeated with a record of 7-0-3 while maintaining a goals-against average of just 2.81 and a save percentage of .905 from March 24th to April 11th.
