Red Bull Formula One team has partnered with EA Sports for the upcoming 2024 season. Under the terms of the agreement, Red Bull will be a significant contributor to the promotion of F1 24 video game. In addition, the team will participate in promotional activities for EA Sports’ other titles, such as EA Sports FC. Max Verstappen, who has experience in gaming and owns his esports outfit, Team Redline, will collaborate with EA again this year.
Given Verstappen’s background in gaming, it is logical for EA Sports to expand their partnership from last year. Previously, it was just a personal endorsement deal with the Dutch driver. However, now it includes the broader Red Bull team. Verstappen will display EA branding on his helmets during the season and there will be F1-inspired helmet designs at select Grands Prix.
Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing’s chief executive and team principal expressed his excitement about this collaboration. He stated that EA is synonymous with sports and entertainment and they are thrilled to have them on board as a team partner. With F1 seeing significant growth and engaging new, young and diverse audiences worldwide, gaming has become vital for fans to interact with racing and Red Bull Racing.
Looking ahead to the 2024 season, the Formula One calendar includes several exciting events. The Chinese Grand Prix will take place at Shanghai International Circuit from April 19th to 21st marking China’s return to racing after a two-year hiatus. Additionally, BlackBook Motorsport Forum will be held in London this April for its 10th anniversary edition focusing on progression of motorsport and emerging trends shaping the industry over next decade.
