Business Class Award Space to Europe for 35,000 Miles – Now Available

TAP Air Portugal has been offering an abundance of business class award space this winter for flights between the U.S. and Europe. The airline offers departures from New York JFK and Newark, Boston, Washington Dulles, Miami, and Chicago, with non-stop flights also available from Toronto and Montreal. Some flights have up to 9 business class award seats available.

FindFlightsForMe has discovered an additional way to enhance this deal by leveraging Avianca LifeMiles pricing strategy. LifeMiles is pricing a one-way business class flight from New York JFK to Lisbon at just 35,000 miles, in addition to $28 in taxes and fees. Points from American Express, Citibank, Capital One, and Bilt can be transferred to LifeMiles.

It’s worth noting that this deal is only available in one direction, with the return flight priced at 63,000 LifeMiles or 60,000 Air Canada Aeroplan points. While it’s possible that some awards may not show availability through other Star Alliance frequent flyer programs due to their pricing structure, LifeMiles does occasionally offer pricing below standard award chart rates intentionally as part of its competitive pricing strategy. It’s also important to note that there are some restrictions in terms of flexibility with this deal – there is a $150 change fee and a $200 fee to cancel and redeposit miles.
