Science Saturday on April 20: Revitalizing the Planet by Nurturing Your Inner Wildness

Gavin Shwahla, a storyteller, filmmaker, and conservationist, will be the keynote speaker at Science Saturday this weekend. The event will take place on Zoom and is presented by the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences. With only two more Science Saturdays left in the series before it comes to an end this spring, attendees are encouraged to register for the upcoming talks on April 20th and 27th.

During his presentation, Shwahla will discuss how to “rewild the planet through rewilding your soul.” He will share his personal journey from biologist to filmmaker and photographer, as well as his journey overcoming fear and anxiety to live authentically. Shwahla will provide examples of how inner healing can have positive effects on both individuals and the world around us.

Science Saturday sessions begin at 11 am and are free to attend. The Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences has a cap of 95 participants for each lecture, whether virtual or in-person.
