Ross Chastain will start in second place for Sunday’s Cup race at Kansas Speedway, just behind Christopher Bell who claimed the top spot. This is a new milestone for Chastain, as it marks his first time starting in the top two in a NASCAR Cup Series race.
Noah Gragson, on the other hand, achieved a career-best third starting position. He has been consistently improving his performance throughout the season and this accomplishment is a testament to his hard work and dedication.
Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch will start in fourth and fifth positions, respectively. Larson has had an impressive season so far, with six top-five starting spots in 12 events. Busch, on the other hand, has been starting consistently in the top five for the past three weeks, securing a pole position at Dover last week and coming in fourth at Talladega the week before that.
William Byron, who has won three races this season, will start in a season-worst 36th position after hitting the wall during his qualifying run. Despite this setback, he remains a strong contender for victory and fans can expect him to make a comeback during the race.
The highly anticipated race is set to begin at 3:13 p.m. ET on FS1 where fans can witness some of the best drivers battle it out on the track for victory.
