Strengthening Healthcare through Mobile Units and Nutritional Support at Sage Memorial

Sage Memorial Hospital is expanding its reach beyond its main facility in Ganado by utilizing two mobile units that offer outpatient services. These services include screenings and education for diabetes mellitus, rapid HIV and syphilis tests, treatments for sexually transmitted infections, adult immunizations, harm reduction services, walk-in services, and more. The goal of the nurse practitioner and director of outpatient services and community health at Sage Memorial is to provide comprehensive care through these mobile units.

The mobile units from Sage Memorial will serve eight locations within the Navajo Nation, including Ganado, Nazlini, Kinlichee, Klagetoh, Wide Ruin, Steamboat, Cornfields, and Greasewood. In addition to these services, Sage Memorial Hospital is introducing the Produce Prescription Pilot Program, funded by a grant from the Indian Health Service.
