SDS Technology has recently been acquired by Pike Avenue Partners, a group of families who have been customers of the company for years. The ownership group, consisting of the Bernie Blanchette, Paul Koerner, and Phil Koerner families, is excited to transition from being customers to now being part of the SDS family. Over the years, SDS has grown by acquiring local computer companies and has established itself as a leader in providing high-quality custom programming and IT services in the Effingham area.
The new ownership group aims to enhance SDS’s cybersecurity services by offering security risk assessments and expanding product lines to meet customer needs. SDS will continue to provide end-to-end risk assessment services and offer introductory security risk assessments through sweeping and forensic system reviews to help clients establish appropriate security controls. All current staff members at SDS Technology will remain with the company, and Steve Schallert, the former President and CEO, will stay on for a period to oversee the transition.
Bernie Blanchette, President of Pike Avenue Partners, expressed excitement about the acquisition and the opportunity to support the existing customer base of SDS. He also highlighted the shared family values and community involvement of the new ownership group, ensuring a seamless transition.
