Senator Ossoff’s Efforts to Improve Dialysis Health Care in South Georgia

U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff has made significant efforts to improve health care services in South Georgia. In a recent announcement, Senator Ossoff expressed his gratitude towards Christopher Dorman, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Tift Regional Health System, for bringing a proposal to his office that would greatly benefit patients in South Georgia who require dialysis treatments.

Senator Ossoff was able to bring together both Republicans and Democrats to secure $600,000 for this project through a bipartisan government funding package. The funding will help Tift Regional Health System acquire state-of-the-art equipment for dialysis treatments, which will more than double their capacity and provide effective care using state-of-the-art clinical care machinery.

Claire Byrnes, Senior Vice President for Ambulatory Services at Tift Regional Health System, also expressed her appreciation for Senator Ossoff’s support in securing Federal funding for this project. The funding will allow Tift Regional Health System to expand and upgrade their health care services for families in South Central Georgia. With the rise in Outpatient Dialysis volume, this investment will help ensure that patients receive the best possible care while reducing wait times and improving overall outcomes.
