Shakira to make Miami stop on first world tour since 2018

Shakira has announced her first tour in six years, which includes a stop in South Florida at the Kaseya Center in Miami on November 20. The tour, titled “Las Mujeras Ya No Lloran World Tour,” comprises 14 shows across North America, and marks Shakira’s return to touring since 2018.

Shakira, who resides in Miami Beach, last performed in Miami in 2018. She famously shared the stage with Jennifer Lopez at the Super Bowl LIV halftime show at Hard Rock Stadium in February 2020. Tickets for Shakira’s Miami show will be available for sale starting Monday at 10 a.m., with presale tickets offered to members of Shakira’s fan club, the “Wolfpack,” on Friday at 10 a.m. Interested fans can sign up for presale access until Wednesday at 11:59 p.m.

The tour takes its name from Shakira’s latest album, “Las Mujeras Ya No Lloran,” which translates to “Women No Longer Cry.” Released last month, the album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin American and Latin pop album charts. This album is Shakira’s first studio recording since 2017’s “El Dorado.”

In an exclusive interview with Variety, Shakira revealed that she took time off from music to focus on her personal life and family after the birth of her son Sasha in January 2019. However, she said that music has always been a part of her life and that she couldn’t resist getting back into it sooner or later
