Now, Jimenez is passing on his knowledge to students like Logan Gorham, who never expected to find their passion in microscopy. The program has 20 enrolled students this semester and boasts a diverse group of individuals from the local community.

The program’s job placement rates and diverse opportunities offered in fields such as biological sciences, pharmaceuticals, and material sciences make it an attractive choice for aspiring scientists. Many graduates secure jobs soon after completing the program, with some like Alyssa Origer already lined up to work in cutting-edge fields like electric batteries at QuantumScape in San Jose.
The success of the program has led to plans for expansion on campus to accommodate more students. Rachaellien Trinh, the program director, aims to fill more seats and change the educational landscape at Delta College.
