Two leaders from PGBank have stepped down

In recent news, there have been significant changes in personnel at PGBank. Just days before the annual shareholder meeting, several key figures submitted their resignation letters. On May 21st, Mr. Nguyen Thanh To, the Deputy General Director of PGBank responsible for the Balance and Capital Business Division, resigned from his position. His resignation came just weeks after the bank appointed three new deputy general directors, including Mr. Tran Van Luan, Le Van Phu, and Nguyen Trong Chien.

It is worth noting that these changes in personnel come after Petrolimex divested all 40% of its capital contribution at PGBank. Following an extraordinary shareholder meeting in October 2023, Mr. Pham Manh Thang was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors while Mr. Dao Phong Truc Dai became Vice President of the bank. The bank will change its identity and name to Prosperity and Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank by the end of 2023.

Despite these major changes in leadership and operations, PGBank remains focused on achieving its financial goals for the year ahead. The bank aims to achieve a total net revenue of over 2,000 billion VND with pre-tax profit expected to reach 554 billion VND and total assets anticipated to increase by more than 14%, reaching over 63,500 billion VND this year.
