Fire crews in Summerville respond to early morning fire at local business

At approximately 4:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, multiple businesses in Summerville, South Carolina experienced smoke and water damage due to a commercial fire that broke out on the 1200 block of Old Trolley Road. The fire was reported by authorities, who immediately responded to the scene and closed Old Trolley Road at Beverly Drive.

Upon arrival, crews from Summerville Fire & Rescue encountered smoke and heat upon entry, indicating that a fire was present. Despite there being no visible signs of fire from the outside, the team was able to locate and control the fire in less than five minutes. However, neighboring businesses were affected by smoke and water damage as a result of the blaze.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
