Bethlehem Catholic High School sophomore earns spot on United States world wrestling team

Keanu Dillard, a sophomore at Bethlehem Catholic, has earned a spot on the U.S. Under-17 Freestyle wrestling team. He will be representing the United States of America in Amman, Jordan.

Dillard’s hard work and dedication to the sport of wrestling paid off when he secured his place on the team by winning the 55-kilogram (121 pounds) class at the U17 world team trials during the U.S. Open event in Las Vegas. In the final match, Dillard defeated Slater Hicks of Valencia, Calif., with a score of two bouts to zero in the best-of-three final. The U-17 world championships will be held in Amman, Jordan, from August 19-25. Dillard’s participation in this prestigious event is a testament to his hard work and dedication to the sport of wrestling. We congratulate him on this amazing achievement and wish him the best of luck in representing the United States on the world stage.
