Despite Greenwood clinching the first four points of the match, South Aiken rallied to win the final two points. Eighth-graders David Baker and Coda Hughes played crucial roles in securing victories for the team. Hughes won a hard-fought match at No. 3 singles, while Baker persevered through a tough battle at No. 1 singles. Baker’s match lasted over two hours, highlighting his determination and resilience on the court.
Baker’s victory was fueled by dedication and support from his team. His persistence in the face of challenges led to a well-deserved win that showcased their potential and growth throughout the season, setting the stage for future success.
