Cast Your Vote for the Upstate’s Female Athlete of the Week

It’s time to vote for the top high school girls athletes of the week from April 22-28! Here are the finalists listed in alphabetical order:

* Autumn Burrell, Hillcrest: Burrell won first place in both the 100 meters (12.65) and 200 meters (25.05) at the Greenville County track and field championships.

* Nia Glover, Spartanburg: Glover broke a two-decades-old Spartanburg County championship record in the 400 meters with a time of 56.74.

* Meg Griffin, Belton-Honea Path: Griffin had an incredible softball week, going 7-for-7 with a home run and five steals in two games.

* Sydney Price, Landrum: Price was impressive in softball as well, going 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs while also pitching a complete game in a 3-2 win against Blacksburg.

* Addison Sharp, T.L. Hanna: Sharp pitched two shutouts in softball with an impressive 22 strikeouts as the Yellow Jackets beat Dorman and Westside, both 3-0.

* Madison Stanley, Wren: Stanley was instrumental in leading Wren to a win over Fountain Inn with all four goals scored in that game.

* A’Kyra Webster, Spartanburg: Webster had another great performance on the track by winning first place in both the 100 meters (12.58) and 200 meters (24.98) at the Spartanburg County championships.
