Despite this filing, the company has assured that there will be no interruptions in day-to-day operations and all hospitals, medical centers, and physician’s offices will remain open to serve patients. Dr. Ralph de la Torre, the Chief Executive Officer of Steward Health Care stated that the decision to file for Chapter 11 restructuring was made in the best interest of patients, physicians, employees and communities.
