The Paraclimbing World Cup Arco 2024, which will be held on September 27 and 28 in Italy, is set to be the final event of the Paraclimbing season. This competition will mark the first time that the newly renovated national training center for Team Italy will host athletes and teams, with indoor walls for Boulder, Lead, and Speed climbing.
The upcoming season follows a record-breaking year in 2023, where the IFSC Paraclimbing World Championships in Bern, Switzerland saw a total of 202 athletes from 25 countries compete – the highest number of participants ever. The series continues to grow in popularity and participation, showcasing the talent and dedication of paraclimbers from around the world.
The renovations at the national training center began last year and are expected to be completed by this summer. The venue will then be able to host athletes and teams year-round with indoor walls for Boulder, Lead, and Speed climbing. This new facility is sure to attract even more competitors to future events like this one in Arco.
In addition to Arco, there will also be two other IFSC Paraclimbing World Cups taking place during this season: one in Salt Lake City, USA on May 7 and 8 and another in Innsbruck, Austria on June 24 and 25. These competitions are sure to attract some of the best paraclimbers from around the world who are eager to showcase their skills on these international stages.
